This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs what you can and can't do with websites generated through StaySpark. By using the platform, you agree to follow these rules.
1. General Principles
StaySpark-generated websites are for legitimate short-term rental businesses. Your site should accurately represent your property and provide a trustworthy booking experience for guests.
2. You Must
- Be truthful — Property descriptions, photos, and amenities must accurately reflect the actual rental
- Have authorization — Only list properties you own or are legally authorized to rent
- Follow the law — Comply with all local, state, and federal laws, including short-term rental regulations, fair housing laws, and tax obligations
- Respect guests — Provide honest information about your property, neighborhood, and any limitations
- Keep content current — Update availability, pricing, and property details as they change
3. Prohibited Content
You may not publish any of the following on your StaySpark-generated website:
Illegal Content
- Content that violates any applicable law
- Listings for properties you're not authorized to rent
- Offers for illegal services or activities
Discriminatory Content
- Content that discriminates based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity
- Violations of the Fair Housing Act or equivalent local laws
Harmful or Deceptive Content
- Misleading property descriptions, fake photos, or fabricated reviews
- Bait-and-switch pricing or hidden fees not disclosed before booking
- Phishing pages or attempts to collect data deceptively
- Malware, viruses, or malicious code
Inappropriate Content
- Pornographic or sexually explicit material
- Content promoting violence, hate speech, or harassment
- Content promoting illegal drug use
- Content that infringes on others' intellectual property (see DMCA Policy)
Platform Abuse
- Using StaySpark for purposes other than short-term rental direct booking
- Scraping, reverse-engineering, or copying the platform
- Automated access or bot traffic intended to abuse the service
- Reselling or white-labeling StaySpark without written permission
- Attempting to circumvent the platform fee or payment processing
4. Property Photos & Content
- You must own or have rights to all photos you upload
- Do not use stock photos misrepresented as your actual property
- AI-generated property images must not be presented as real photos
- Guest-submitted content (reviews, guest book entries) is the guest's responsibility, but you should moderate for appropriateness
5. Enforcement
If we determine you've violated this AUP, we may take one or more of these actions:
| Severity | Action |
|---|---|
| Minor (first offense) | Warning email with details and a deadline to fix |
| Moderate | Temporary suspension of your website (usually 7 days) |
