Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy covers StaySpark SaaS subscription refunds and cancellations only. For guest booking refunds/cancellations, hosts set their own policies.
1. Subscription Plans
Current plan pricing and features are available on our Pricing page. All plans are billed monthly and renew automatically.
2. How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
- In-app: Account Settings → Subscription → Cancel
- Email: support@stayspark.io
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You'll retain access to all features until then.
3. What Happens When You Cancel
- Your StaySpark-generated website(s) will go offline at the end of the billing period
- Your data (property info, guest records, guidebooks) will be retained for 30 days in case you reactivate
- After 30 days, your data will be permanently deleted
- Stripe Connect payouts for already-completed bookings will continue to process normally
- Any upcoming guest bookings should be handled before cancellation — StaySpark is not responsible for bookings after your site goes offline
4. Refund Policy
General Rule
StaySpark subscriptions are non-refundable. When you cancel, you keep access through the end of your paid period, but we don't issue partial refunds for unused time.
Exceptions
We'll consider refunds on a case-by-case basis for:
- Billing errors — If you were charged incorrectly, we'll fix it and refund the difference
- Service outage — If StaySpark experiences extended downtime (48+ hours) that prevents you from operating, contact us for a credit or refund
- First-month guarantee — If you're a new subscriber and cancel within 14 days of your first payment, we'll issue a full refund, no questions asked
- Duplicate charges — Accidental double charges will be refunded promptly
How to Request a Refund
Email support@stayspark.io with:
- Your account email
- The charge in question
- Reason for the refund request
We'll respond within 5 business days.
5. Plan Changes
- Upgrades take effect immediately; you'll be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of the billing period
- Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period
- No refunds are issued for downgrades
6. Free Trials (If Applicable)
If we offer a free trial:
- You won't be charged until the trial ends
- We'll send a reminder email before the trial converts to a paid subscription
- You can cancel during the trial without being charged
- Trial terms may vary and will be communicated at signup
7. Beta Considerations
During StaySpark's beta period:
- Pricing and plan features may change with 30 days' notice
- If we increase prices, existing subscribers will be grandfathered at their current rate for at least 90 days
- If we discontinue a plan tier, we'll migrate you to the closest equivalent or offer a refund
8. Guest Booking Refunds
This policy does not cover guest booking refunds. As a host, you set your own cancellation and refund policies for guest stays. StaySpark provides the tools; you manage your refund decisions. See our Stripe Connect Terms for details on how refunds interact with platform fees.
